The History of Flexicell
Flexicell, Inc. is one of the oldest and most respected robotic system integrators and automation equipment manufacturers in the United States. Founded in 1992, Flexicell has since grown to become a leading provider of robotic case packing solutions, palletizing solutions, and material handling equipment for manufacturing companies throughout North America. Successful applications have been placed into the field in the industries of food and beverage, pharmaceutical, health care, medical, durable goods, consumer products, consumer electronics, personal care products, frozen foods, confectionery, dairy, bakery, and others.
Flexicell is headquartered in Ashland, Virginia, just north of Richmond, in a 70,000-square-foot facility that enables management, sales and manufacturing to be housed under one roof. Flexicell has enough manufacturing floor space to assemble and rigorously test all robotic systems before they are delivered to the customer.
Flexibility
As is emphasized in the company’s name, Flexicell creates robotic systems flexible enough to serve its customers today and meet ever-changing market needs well into the future. A robotic cell can be re-deployed for future uses with simple programming or end-of-arm tool changes, saving the cost of purchasing an entirely new packing or palletizing system.
