Robotic Packaging and Palletizing Blog

Celebrating 20 years of designing and installing robotic systems

Since 1992, Flexicell has been integrating robots with palletizing and case packing systems and providing these systems to manufacturers throughout North America. As one of the leading companies using robotics for end of line solutions, we’ve seen the industry grow and become more affordable for manufacturers. Over the years they have become safer and more reliable. Their ability to efficiently reduce costs for our customers has led to our success.

By 2004 we had outgrown our location in Henrico, so we moved to Hanover County into a 70,000-square-foot facility. This allowed us to accommodate all our employees and products under one roof, and gave us space to continue to grow.

Today, we have completed over 400 projects for many of the Fortune 500 companies. We now have 60 employees (and counting), and we support the community by sponsoring FIRST Robotics Teams. Now, robots are popular among North American manufacturers, especially due to global competition and higher demand. According to the Robotics Industry Association, the United States has over 225,000 industrial robots in use, a number second only to Japan.

As we continue to grow and take on new opportunities, this allows us to help more manufacturers throughout North America. We design and manufacture robotic picking, packing, and palletizing systems for primary, secondary, and transport packaging applications. After 20 years, our experience and knowledge is what makes us a leading automation supplier.
